While she did not hurl insults about Jester’s supporters like many did, she had little patience for anyone who did not understand him for the danger he was to America, and she knew early on that their decision to support him, for the most part, was not based on rationality and, therefore, they could not be persuaded through rational means. And so it went. As the election approached, friends became enemies, and some broke family ties. Each was convinced the other just could not see the light. Each was convinced that his or her choice was what was best for the country, but those who would eventually become masked could only see that Jester was filled with venom towards so many citizens and Amia was not. And so it went till election day.
